If you are looking for a great place to stay in Lismore look no further. Melville House is a 4.5 Star art deco Bed and Breakfast that is superb. I love sitting in the kitchen and having a cuppa with Helen the owner. She is the ultimate host and treats all her guests like family.read more

Melville house is a delightful home-away-from-home with unique character. I booked just for an overnight stay but still was given an upgrade after a cancellation to a lovely room with charming decor, luxurious bed and garden views. Very quiet. I was sorry I didn't have time to make use of the pool and other facilities, they looked inviting.. Helen was a welcoming, and helpful host and easy to communicate with. I recommend Melville House and will stay there again.read more

Owners are great, helped me out when Wilsons college, a Unistays registered place, just decided to ignore me completely and left me high and dry when I arrived, even after I had arranged to stay there.read more

Only here for 10 minutes and already blown away. Helen is a wonderful host. Strong, assertive, no nonsense Woman. The House is a old stately home. It’s is absolutely gorgeous. What a jewel of a place! Melville house is many things: welcoming, quirky, affordable, friendly, fun and beautiful. We had the most wonderful stay here with our dog June. Charles the owner was lovely, easy going and communicative. We enjoyed swimming in the deep and luxurious pool, and June sniffing about in the spacious garden. It's hard to find quality dog friendly accommodation and this place does not disappoint. We look forward to coming back.read more

We stayed in the upstairs room with ensuite. Clean and very large. Old world style, cool half spiral staircase, marble bathroom. 1930s style but in pretty good condition. Pool, massive garden and large lounge area. Simple breakfast was cereal/toast with tea and plunger or Moccona coffee. Suited us. Good value.read more
